Sound of Sirens was an online art project that was initiated by the artists Sylvia Eckermann, Edgar Honetschläger. It focused on how democratic societies are dealing with catastrophes. 2012 – one year after the Earthquake/Tsunami and the explosion of the nuclear power plant FUKUSHIMA DAIICHI we invited people around the globe to share their feelings by sending us videos on how 3/11 influenced their lives – the day when an earthquake, a tsunami and a nuclear meltdown hit Japan and the world. Japan is suffering from this until today and it will far into the future.

みんなで一緒に、映画をつくりましょう。 こ れは、ひとりひとりが才能をためして、世界中から募り、みんなで映画をつくる「オープンコール(OPEN CALL)」です。サウンド・オブ・サイレンス(SOS)は、民主的な社会がどのように災害に対応できるのかについて焦点をあてた、アートプロジェクトで す。あなたの人生が３月１１日とその日以降、どのように変化したのか、ビデオ（動画）でコメントし、表現し、そのフィーリングをシェアしましょう。 東 日本大震災が日本を、世界を襲った日。携帯電話、HDカメラ、ウェブカメラ、その他のどんな機材で撮影したものでも構いません。あの日以降の、変わってし まった日常、変えることのできない現状、個人的な記録、思い、悩み、決心、主張、形式や映像スタイルは一切問いません。また、ご意見の内容も問いません。 ７分までの動画をここにアップロードしてください。 アップロードされた映像はすべて、SOSのコミュニティーの一員となります。
